No LNG: Fall 2015 - Spring 2016
This campaign recently ended due to the Jordan Cove Project being denied!
The FERC has stated:
"Because the record does not support a finding that the public benefits of the Pacific Connector Pipeline outweigh the adverse effects on landowners, we deny Pacific Connector’s request for certificate authority to construct and operate its project, as well as the related blanket construction and transportation "certificate applications." YES!

Background:
Our campus campaign is part of a larger statewide coalition that is fighting the liquified natural gas pipelines and export terminal that have been proposed to go through Oregon. We are particularly focused on the Pacific Connector Pipeline which stretches 232-miles across Oregon, would produce miles of clearcut to Oregon forests and crosses over 400 bodies of water. The pipeline would transport natural gas to the proposed Jordan Cove Export terminal in Coos Bay where it would be sent to Asian Markets. If built, the pipelines and terminal would become the largest greenhouse gas emitter in the state of Oregon.

What we're doing:
Join our campus campaign to educate students, push the ASUO to pass a resolution against the project, and pressure Governor Brown into stopping this environmental atrocity! For more information visit: http://www.nolngexports.org Or watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZHlQmtV-2k |
